The Greater Bay Area Costumers Guild presents:

Victorian Corset Workshop
Date: Sunday, May 18th, 2008 -- 9:30am to 5pm

Join Barbara Muran, proprietor of Of Corset for an all day Victorian
Corset workshop! Using Laughing Moon Mercantile's Pattern #100, we
will fit and construct an authentic Victorian corset. Barbara will
also discuss fabrics and linings, busks and boning options, fitting
and construction techniques, and how to lace and care for your
corset. A basic supply list will be sent to students prior to class.

Location: Language Sciences Institute (LSI), 2015 Center Street,
Berkeley, one block west of the Berkeley BART station. LSI has drink
machines but no food. Bring a sack lunch or visit one of the local
eateries for lunch prior to class. Free street parking or paid
parking nearby.

Cost: $27.00 GBACG Members, $37.00 Non-Members for Workshop PLUS
purchase of the kit.

Kit Options: $75.00 for the natural herringbone coutil kit, $100.00
for bleached white or black herringbone coutil, pre-embroidered in a
one-color design with matching satin trim. Kits include pattern,
fabric, and hardware. Kit must be purchased through Barbara's
website prior to the sign-up deadline. See the mail-in registration
