Calling all Edwardians --- from actresses and bon vivants to pillars of society. The Greater Bay Area Costumers Guild requests the pleasure of your company as we enjoy our first event of 2008, the Gilded Age Tea. This sumptuous afternoon of pleasure will be held in the The Garden Court of San Francisco's first grand hotel, The Palace.

The Palace has welcomed kings and queens, industrialists and dignitaries, presidents and prime ministers. It is, in every way, an ideal setting for The Gilded Tea. Our tea celebrates the debonair and graceful fin de siecle world immortalized by writer Edith Wharton, painter John Singer Sargent, and beauty Camille Clifford inspiring the drawings of Charles Dana Gibson.

We will convene for an exquisitely elegant afternoon of high tea and gracious company in a Belle Epoque setting among marble pillars, potted palms and a string quartet playing for our pleasure.

Tickets are $48 for GBACG Members, $58 for Non-Members, and $40 for Children.
